PAOK have a strong opportunity to collect three important points when they welcome Asteras Tripolis to Toumba Stadium. The hosts have made a considerably stronger start to the season, collecting 15 points from their first eight league matches compared with Asteras’ six points.

PAOK have won three of their last five league fixtures and have demonstrated impressive attacking potential, scoring 16 goals in eight matches. Their home performances have also been encouraging, with three victories from four league games at Toumba Stadium.

Asteras Tripolis, meanwhile, have struggled to find consistency. They have managed just one league victory this season and have failed to win any of their three away matches. Their defensive record is another concern, having conceded 15 goals in eight league fixtures.

The head-to-head record also favours PAOK. They have won three of the last four league meetings between these teams, with the remaining match ending in a draw. PAOK’s superior squad quality, stronger attacking numbers and home advantage make them clear favourites.

Although PAOK suffered a recent defeat against OFI Crete, they have enough quality to respond positively against an Asteras side that has struggled away from home.

Viborg have a strong opportunity to return to winning ways when they welcome AC Horsens to Energi Viborg Arena. The hosts currently sit third in the Superliga standings with 20 points from 12 matches, and their overall performances this season have been stronger than those of their opponents.

One of the biggest reasons to favour Viborg is their impressive head-to-head record. They have won the last three Superliga meetings against Horsens, including a 3-2 victory away from home earlier this season. That record should give the hosts additional confidence heading into this encounter.

Viborg have suffered consecutive defeats against Midtjylland and AGF, but both matches were against strong opposition. Before that difficult spell, they recorded convincing victories over Randers and Nordsjælland, showing the attacking quality they possess.

Horsens arrive in decent form after an impressive 5-1 victory against Sønderjyske. However, Viborg have greater experience at this level and will benefit from playing in front of their home supporters. The visitors also have suspensions to Adam Herdonsson and Alagie Saine, which could affect their defensive stability.

With home advantage, a stronger league position and a positive recent record against Horsens, Viborg are my preferred selection.
