The odds heavily favour PARIVISION, but there are several reasons to believe 9z can pull off the upset here.
While PARIVISION sit higher in the rankings, their recent form has been inconsistent. They have suffered losses to The MongolZ, MIBR, G2 and Aurora in recent weeks, struggling to maintain momentum against quality opposition. Their results have been solid overall, but far from dominant.
9z, on the other hand, have quietly put together some impressive performances. They recently defeated TYLOO 2-0 and have shown they can compete with strong international teams. Most importantly, they already hold a positive head-to-head record against PARIVISION this year, winning both previous meetings.
The map pool is also much closer than the odds suggest. 9z hold strong numbers on Inferno, Nuke and Overpass, while PARIVISION's biggest edge appears to come on Mirage. In a best-of-three series, that gives the South American side multiple routes to victory.
