Dota 2 Prediction: Aurora look dangerous despite NAVI momentum

Aurora continue to look like one of the strongest teams remaining in DreamLeague and their aggressive tempo-heavy style could once again create major problems for NAVI. While NAVI have improved significantly over the last few matches, Aurora still appear to hold the higher overall ceiling heading into this playoff clash.

Match: Natus Vincere vs Aurora

League / Competition: Dota 2

Our Pick: Aurora to win

Odds: 1.82

Market: Match Result

Analyst Confidence: 2/5

Aurora enter this playoff matchup in excellent form, but Natus Vincere have quietly built serious momentum themselves after a strong finish to the group stage. NAVI come into this series with wins over Xtreme Gaming, Tundra and PlayTime in their last few matches, and the confidence inside the roster is clearly growing. Their drafting has looked cleaner recently and they are playing with far more discipline compared to earlier in the tournament. Still, Aurora continue to look like one of the strongest teams left in DreamLeague overall. Outside of the loss against Team Spirit, they have been extremely consistent and are coming off consecutive wins against Virtus.pro, Vici Gaming, GamerLegion and ex-HEROIC without dropping much control in those series. The biggest advantage for Aurora remains their ability to snowball games once they gain an early lead. Their tempo-heavy style has caused problems for almost every opponent in the event, and mechanically they still look slightly sharper across multiple positions. At the same time, NAVI’s recent improvements make this matchup feel closer than the odds may initially suggest. Aurora deserve favorite status, but this does not look like a free series by any means.
