Dota 2 Prediction: Team Liquid vs Xtreme Gaming

Team Liquid will come into this matchup with revenge on their minds after the recent 2-1 loss against Xtreme Gaming earlier in the tournament. That defeat was one of the bigger surprises of the event, especially considering Liquid had dominated most of the recent head-to-head meetings before that series. Despite the loss, Liquid still look like the more complete team overall. Their drafts remain among the strongest in professional Dota right now, and when players like Nisha and miCKe find momentum early, Liquid are extremely difficult to slow down in longer series. They also tend to respond well after losses, which has been a consistent pattern for this roster over the past year. Xtreme Gaming deserve credit for the upset win and have clearly improved throughout the tournament, but consistency continues to be a problem. Outside of the victory over Liquid, they have struggled badly against several top-tier teams recently, including losses to NAVI, PlayTime and Tundra. Liquid should also have a better understanding of Xtreme’s drafting approach after the previous meeting, which could become a major factor here. At odds around 1.60, backing Liquid to bounce back and take revenge still looks like solid value.
