French open betting tip: Ruud

Casper Ruud remains one of the strongest clay-court players on the ATP Tour and is always a serious threat at Roland Garros. The Norwegian’s consistency from the baseline, heavy topspin forehand, and elite movement on clay make him extremely difficult to challenge over best-of-five sets. Medjedovic is a talented young player with plenty of potential, but facing Ruud on clay is a massive step up in both quality and experience. Ruud’s ability to control rallies and force opponents into long physical exchanges should allow him to dominate large parts of the match. Given the difference in clay-court pedigree and Grand Slam experience, Ruud has a strong chance to win this in straight sets or in four sets at most, making the -1.5 sets line very attractive.
