After dropping Game 2, Vegas answered exactly like a championship team should. They went into Anaheim and completely controlled Game 3 from start to finish. The Ducks have speed and talent, but Vegas showed the difference between a young exciting team and a team that knows how to win playoff hockey.
Mitch Marner stepped up massively last game, but what impressed me most was how structured Vegas looked defensively. Anaheim struggled to create quality chances for long periods, and that usually becomes even more important deeper into a series.
The Ducks will come out aggressive again at home, but I trust the Golden Knights’ veteran core much more in these pressure situations. If Eichel and the top line can continue slowing down Leo Carlsson’s unit, I think Vegas takes full control of this series tonight.
